ABOUT US

Loreak Mendian, which means ‘flower in the mountains,’ is a brand that emerged in the mid-1990s in San Sebastian. It is rooted in clubbing culture and urban art, closely connected to the surf, snow, and skate scene, with a strong awareness of its local roots and environment.

In 1995, the first Loreak Mendian store opened in the old town of the city. It became a pilgrimage spot for DJs and music lovers, snowboarders, skaters, surfers, designers, and cultural enthusiasts—a place where they could find first- and second-hand clothing and vinyl records, as well as a meeting point for long conversations with the best views of the city.

The iconic Daisy logo, which originally started appearing in the bathrooms of some of the city’s music venues alongside a wide variety of brand designs, gradually began to be seen at music festivals, alpine resorts, skateparks, and art spaces.

Its streetwear culture led the brand to reinterpret garments that are part of the movement from its own perspective, always drawing inspiration from workwear, outerwear, sportswear, and military clothing—seeking a casual fit with a total focus on timelessness, functionality, and durability.

From the very beginning, there has been a natural tendency to collaborate with people and entities that share similar concerns and vision, supporting the creation of communities that transport us to new scenarios of life and creativity.

For Loreak Mendian, the future lies in the past: tradition is substance, and the present is a blend of form and essence.
